CASEing Smackin' Acetate

Welcome TTT friends...

My name is Karen, your hostess for the month of August
This month we have been playing around with the technique called
Smackin' Acetate
I love the varied backgrounds you can achieve using this technique
Try different types of papers, my favorite to use - glossy paper

As the monthly hostess, I get to CASE a card from the linked creations
I have to say this task is not easy
Especially with so many delightful cards to choose from

In the end, I went with this wonderful card made by Darnell at djkardkreations...

Darnell's card had a breezy, summery feel to it
I was inspired by the colors and image she chose
She also added texture at the bottom of the card using an embossing folder
LOVE it!

And now here is my card...

I used glossy paper for my project
I choose Dutch Blue and Citrus Leaf markers from Close to My Heart
I used this beach image from 100 Proof Press and sentiment from CTMH
Swirl embossing folder was used on a piece of glossy paper with Dutch Blue
Banners and white ribbon/bow finish my card

Thanks for stopping by today  and taking a look at my CASEd card
CONGRATULATIONS Darnell
Don't forget to grab your badge for being CASEd on Technique Time Tuesday!

Thanks for stopping by today and DON'T FORGET...
You have 1 week left to join us, try this technique and play along
Check out the original post HERE

Bye for now - Karen

Karen, I could have sworn I thanked you for the incredible honor of CASEing my card! (I hope I did so on your blog; I'll check there.) Your card is fantastic! You really made me feel like a star! Mwah! Darnell
